Monetary and food donations are needed for Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners for the cleints of the Our Lady of Victory St. Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry, located at St. John Lutheran's Church.

Updating Vintage Interiors

This workshop takes a preservationist approach to updating and greening vintage interiors. Designer Jase Frederick will go beyond sustainable materials and furnishings and illustrate ways to create a sustainable lifestyle in your current home. She will also give tips on how to make your existing spaces function better to be the best fit for you and your family.

The HNPCA Green Team is again holding a workshop to train residents in proper home weatherization and energy efficiency practices. Also learn about Retrofit Chicago - low cost energy audits, rebates and other offerings. Each participant will get a weatherization kit so they can take immediate action in their own homes. Visit From Santa - Irving Austin Business Association

This event is being sponsored by the businesses in the Irving-Austin shopping district. Come and have your picture taken with Santa! Parents are asked to donate a new toy for a needy child aged 10 and under. The toys collected will be donated to the Maryville Crisis Nursery (4015 North Oak Park Avenue), a non-profit agency that provides free childcare for newborns to six-year-olds when their families are going through an emergency. There will also be area wide promotions and coupons for local stores.

Friends of Portage Park "2nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting"
