2015 Homeless Count
Chicago's 2015 Homeless Count begins at 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22nd.
The Homeless Count is conducted every two years to provide the Chicago Department of Family and support Services (DFSS) with a "snapshot" of Chicago's homeless population. The data gathered on the actual number of homeless in Chicago serves as a basis for federal funding, for service and resource planning, and to raise public awareness about homelessness.
Join hundreds of vounteers and City of Chicago personnel in the Count. Volunteers join three-person or four-person survey teams with experienced leaders for a few hours on Januarry 22nd. Each team surveys its assigned area as a group (not individually).
